Children With Hairloss

Today was a very exciting day! My client from my previous posts, Laura Gruber, decided to cut over 8 inches off of her hair for the organization Children with hairloss. It was quite an experience! I have done a few donations before and it is always a pleasure! To do something with hair that really makes a difference is such a blessing! We cut her pony tail with excitement and did a medium length cut with an angle and a long bang! It looks amazing! Laura has thick hair so I also did a little texturizing to make it easier to style for her. It was great fun and we support all hair donators and organizations!

Thanks so much to all my new fans on my new business page! Posting reviews is a great way to spread the word! Let me know of your experiences! See you soon!

Here Comes The Bride

This week has been fun for many reasons. I have seen some of the pictures that have been edited from last weeks photoshoot and they are incredible. I moved my tools at work to a different station and though it has taken some getting used to, it is a nice change of pace. But the highlight of my week by far was doing hair and makeup for one of my wonderful friends, Sarah Hoyt, now Sarah Kidd. I was so proud to be making her glamorous for her big day! It is always naturally a little more meaningful when you know the bride and actually get to see the beauty walking down the aisle. It feels great to know that in some way I was a small part in the joy of the begining of the rest of her life. It was great to make her feel relaxed and pampered, as every bride should feel. Her hair was my favorite bridal hair I have done so far in my career. It was loose curls pulled back in a gorgeous updo. She had a slight "poof" on the top with a gorgeous headband that made it so special. It was a wonderful added sparkle that made the hair what it was.

This is a good lesson to learn from sarah that a simple hair accessory can make all the difference. Never be afraid to experiment with headbands, decorative pins, ribbon, or even flowers. The key is to not go overboard and keep it simple. You want it to be exactly what the word is, "accessory". Not too over powering.
